Tiffin University's men's soccer squad has been ranked 18th in the 2019 United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.

The preseason poll mirrors where the Dragons finished the 2018 season, as they finished last year ranked 18th.

Ohio Valley was the only other G-MAC school ranked in the poll, coming in ranked 15th. Barry University took the top spot followed by Cal Poly Pomona.

Tiffin University's men's soccer team enjoyed a stunning run through the G-MAC Tournament in 2018, and the raters were watching, as the Dragons were ranked as high as 12th during the season. They jumped from 22nd to 12th heading into the NCAA Midwest Regional. The Dragons qualified for NCAA Regionals for the fourth time in the last six seasons. The Dragons also qualified for NCAA postseason play in both 2013, 2014, and 2016.

TU (15-4-1) rose 10 spots after winning the G-MAC Tournament Championship. This followed a regular season conference championship. The Dragons were the top seed in the Midwest Region tournament.

The Dragons open on Sept. 5 with a G-MAC home opener against Alderson Broaddus at 3 pm and follow it up with a non-conference tilt with Illinois Springfield on Sept. 7.
