Five Tiffin University men's soccer athletes landed Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All Ohio recognition.
Kangni Gabianou and Abdoul Magid Sy were named First Team selections, while Malik Suleman and Ramiesh McKnight were Second Team picks. In addition, Darren Appanah was an Academic All Ohio pick for his excellence in the classroom.
Gabianou, who was also named the G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year All Midwest Region, and a First Team D2CCA Midwest Region standout, played in 20 games and is a three-time All Conference selection. He was the top defender on a team that held opponents to 1.00 goal per game and had 6 shutouts. The defense also allowed opponents just 4.85 shots on goal per game.
Abdoul Magid Sy led the G-MAC in points per game and game winning goals despite injury shortening his season. He also was an All Midwest Region, First Team D2CCA Midwest pick and is a 2017 First Team All GLIAC selection. He led the team with 10 goals and 24 points in just 13 games.
Suleman finished third on the team with 6 goals and 19 points, finishing amongst conference leaders in goals and points.
McKnight was 6th in the G-MAC in goals and 8th in points per game. He was second on team in goals with 10 and 21 points.

Tiffin University's men's soccer team enjoyed a stunning run through the G-MAC Tournament, and the raters were watching, as the Dragons were ranked as high as 12th during the season. They jumped from 22nd to 12th heading into the NCAA Midwest Regional.
TU (15-4-1) rose 10 spots after winning the G-MAC Tournament Championship. This followed a regular season conference championship. The Dragons were the top seed in the Midwest Region tournament.
