Dragons turn up the offense in 3-1 win over Malone

Tiffin University (8-3, 6-2 G-MAC) continued its strong play, peppering Malone with a barrage of shots in an eventual 3-1 victory.

The Dragons controlled the tempo from the outset, outshooting Malone 12-1 in the first half. Despite the sizable edge, the Dragons could not get a goal, however, as the two teams were scoreless at the break.

The Dragons eventually wore down the Pioneers' defense, scoring for the first time in the 52nd minute when Leo Hasenstab knocked home a kick from the right side off a pass from Abdoul Magid Sy.

They added to their lead in the 67th minute when Sy drilled home a penalty kick goal after a Malone foul in the box. Spencer Wood then also got in on the action after another foul in the box in the 79th minute, knocking home another penalty shot to make it 3-0.

Malone did score on a quick goal off a long pass in the 83rd minute but could not come close to bringing the score closer. 

Overall TU outshot Malone 19-6 while also holding a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. TU only allowed 4 shots on goal over 90 minutes.

Dylan Morris got the win in goal, playing 80 minutes and making 3 saves. Cary Wilson finished up over the last 10 minutes, allowing 1 goal.
