In his first year at TU in 2018-19, Miller led the Dragons to a fifth-place finish at the G-MAC Championships while sophomore Noah Barth was named All-Conference. Miller has also coached the men’s program to two team titles in his time with the Dragons, as they are the back-to-back defending champions of the Kyle Ryman Memorial in 2018 and 2019.

Miller started his coaching career in the fall of 2015 at NCAA Division I Marshall University, where he was named the Assistant Men's Golf Coach for one semester.

Miller went to the University of Findlay as the Men’s Graduate Assistant in the spring of 2016, where he held that position for one year. In the spring of 2017, he was promoted to Interim Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach where he helped the women’s program capture their first-ever GLIAC Championship. In his third season with the men’s and women’s programs, he coached them to a combined eight team victories and two conference championships for a total of three in three seasons.

Miller was the winner of the 2021 Toledo District Golf Association Championship. He also qualified for the 2021 United States Amateur contest at Oakmont Country Club.

After graduation from Marshall, Miller is a five-time state amateur qualifier. In 2015, he qualified as the first alternate for the United States Amateur Championship.
