Tiffin University was unable to keep up its strong round two pace, shooting 306 in round three to finish 6th overall at the Brickyard Invitational.
Indianapolis won the event with a 853 total, 12 strokes ahead of Findlay's 865. Lee University was right behind in third with 869. Tiffin had shot 292 in round two but a 14 stroke differential in round three finished them with a 900 three-round total.
Nick Kyprian was the top Dragons golfer in 12th place, holding steady with a 73 in round three for 220 total (75-72-73). Cameroan McCloskey was also a top 20 finisher, taking 17th with the lone improvement individually from round two to round three, shooting 74 to finish with 222 (72-76-74).
Other Dragons finishers included Britton Hensel (77-72-78 for 227), David Siegel (79-72-82 for 233), and Justin Hand (78-78-81 for 237).
Noah Barth also finished 13th overall with 221, shooting 75-71-75.
"In my two years at Tiffin University, this is the best field we have seen in that time," said Head Coach Jacob Miller. "We had a great opportunity for a really good finish but just need to tighten a few things up. We tee it up next at our home event the Kyle Ryman Memorial with a great field. We are looking forward to seeing all the support from our Dragon family."
