Dragons in 4th at Brickyard after first day

Tiffin University improved by 10 strokes between the first and second round, finishing in fourth place after day one of the Brickyard Invitational at Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Indianapolis led the field with 568, followed closely by Findlay with 571. Lee University had 581, while Tiffin had 594. The Dragons opened with 302 in the first round but trimmed it down to 292 in round two.

Nico Kyprian finished 14th for the Dragons, shooting 75 before clipping off three strokes for 72 in round two for a total of 147. Cameron McCloskey was right behind in 15th, shooting 72-76 for 148.

Tiffin had solid pack scores, with the top four golfers all finishing within 4 strokes of each other. Britton Hensel and David Siegel showed strong second round improvement, with Hensel going from 77 to 72 for 149 while Siegel had the day's biggest improvement. He opened with 79 before firing a 72 for 151. Justin Hand shot equal rounds of 78 to finish with 156.

Noah Barth also did well as an individual, finishing 12th with 75-71 for 146.
