Jordan, Wiehe Sign With Men's Basketball

TIFFIN, Ohio - Wesley Jordan and Evan Wiehe have announced their intentions to continue their academic and athletic careers with Tiffin men's basketball.

Jordan is a 6'7" forward out of Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis. He averaged 12 points per game and seven rebounds per game, and is ranked the No. 39 prospect on the Prep Hoops Indiana 2019 list. "I chose to attend Tiffin University because of all the opportunities it provides me both on and off the court," said Jordan. "Tiffin feels like family and I'm excited to be part of the what they are building."

"Wesley is a human highlight reel and having his versatility on both ends of the floor is every coach's dream," said TU head coach Tom Church. "We value players that can guard multiple positions and Wesley provides us with that luxury. Wesley also played on one of the best high school teams in Indiana and in one of the best conferences in the country in the MIC. I am excited to watch Wesley's growth over the course of his career. I think he has the talent and work ethic to become a great player at our level."

Wiehe, a 6'0" guard, comes to Tiffin from Nordonia High School in the Cleveland area, and averaged 15 points per game last season. "I chose to attend Tiffin University because I want to help build a tradition at Tiffin and I felt welcomed on my visit," said Wiehe. "I also love the coaching staff and their style of play."

"Evan is an extremely hard worker and constantly trying to improve his game," said Church. "Evan will give us added depth at our guard position. We put a major emphasis in this recruiting class on adding players that can shoot from the perimeter and that is Evan's specialty. He is a great teammate and will be a great addition to our family."

Jordan and Wiehe join Trent Williams and Ashton Caryer, who signed back in November, as part of men's basketball's 2019 freshman class. A total of nine newcomers have been added for next season, as Church also announced five incoming transfers today.
