Tiffin University opened its 2018-19 season with an exhibition game at Butler University, falling 100-63.

The Dragons played Butler close throughout the first half. With the score tied 3-3 at the 17:00 mark, Butler went on a 9-0 run over the next two minutes to take a 12-3 lead.

The Dragons came back with their own run, staying just two shots behind ove the next 5 minutes. With Butler up 19-14 at the 11:00 mark, the Bulldogs closed out the half on a 26-17 run to take a 45-31 lead at halftime.

Butler took firm control of the game in the second half, shooting a blistering 58 percent to pull away from TU. The Bulldogs outscored TU in the second half 55-32.

Overall Butler shot 54 percent to Tiffin's 39 percent while forcing 18 turnovers. Butler ended up holding a 24-5 advantage in points off turnovers. They also controlled the middle, outscoring TU 60-26 in the paint.

Justin Miller led the way with 16 points, while Joshua Williams added 13 as the only two Dragons in double figures. Jaden Terry also had 6 points, while Shane Waldon led TU with 6 rebounds.
