The Tiffin University men's basketball team dropped their GLIAC game with Northwood on Thursday night 92-81. Northwood's bench played a pivotal role in deciding the game, outscoring Tiffin's bench 55-27.

Tiffin got off to a nice start, holding a 14-9 lead at the first media timeout. The Timberwolves made their move, using a 19-6 run to hold a 28-20 lead at the second media timeout. Northwood continued to add to their lead, connecting on 47% of their field goal attempts as they held a 39-29 lead at halftime.

The Dragons hit 42.9% of their field goal attempts, but it was Tiffin's three-point shooting that kept them within striking distance, connecting on 5 of 9 attempts.

The scoring really picked up for both sides in the 2nd half as Tiffin opened with an 11-4 run to pull within a triple at 43-40. Northwood countered, and with a little over eight minutes remaining the Timberwolves pushed their lead to nine at 61-52. Northwood's lead hit its highest just a few minutes later at 77-64. The Dragons never gave up, but were unable to make up enough ground as Tiffin fell 92-81.

Tiffin's shooting in the 2nd half was on point, hitting 56.8% of their field goal attempts. The Dragons continued to have success from beyond the arc in the 2nd half, hitting 7 of 14 attempts.

Tiffin was led in scoring by Alex Brown with 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting from the floor. Brown was 4 for 4 from three and added six rebounds. Austin Adams logged a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Quentin Jones had an outstanding 2nd half, netting all 13 of his points in the 2nd half on 5 of 7 shooting. Tristan Popa was a sniper from deep, scoring 12 points on 4 of 7 shooting from three.

The Dragons fall to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in the GLIAC.
