Brown Eclipses 1,000 Points In Tiffin Loss

The Tiffin University men's basketball team put together a solid offensive game, scoring 88 points to tie their season high set the night before. Tiffin's Alex Brown scored a season high 31 points, becoming the 31st player in Tiffin history to score 1,000 career points.

The 1st half saw both sides throw up video game offensive numbers, as Tiffin hit 18 of their 27 field goal attempts. The Dragons connected on 57.1% of their three point tries, and were 9 of 10 from the free throw stripe. Indianapolis was somehow a touch better, knocking down 74.2% of their field goal attempts, including a ridiculous 12 of 15 from beyond the arc. The Dragons played their best half of basketball against the Greyhounds, logging only six turnovers and assisting on 9 of their 18 made shots, but still went to the half down 61-49.

Austin Adams led Tiffin in scoring at halftime, logging 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting. Alex Brown netted six points, but was just getting warmed up.

Brown single-handedly carried Tiffin on the offensive end in the 2nd half, scoring 25 of Tiffin's 39 points. Brown finished the half a perfect 10 for 10 from the field, and was 5 for 5 from three. As a team Tiffin cooled a bit from the field, hitting 57.1% of their attempts. The Dragons remained steady from three, burying 7 of 15 tries. It was simply Indianapolis' day, as the Greyhounds went 7 for 7 from three in the 2nd half and were 13-14 from the charity stripe to drop the Dragons 101-88.

Alex Brown's 31 points is a season high as he finished the game 13 of 16 from the field. Brown becomes the 31st Tiffin University men's basketball player to score 1,000 or more points in his career. Austin Adams finished with 26 points and led Tiffin in rebounding with six. Justin Miller was the final Dragon in double figures, scoring 10 points. 

The loss drops Tiffin to 2-3 overall.
