Hot shooting Oilers drop Dragons 105-87

Tiffin University (11-15, 6-12 GLIAC) fell victim at the University of Findlay, as a red-hot perimeter shooting Oilers team scorched the nets in the first half en route to a 105-87 victory.

Five minutes into the game, the Oilers held a slim 19-16 lead but then turned on the jets, exploding on a 20-2 run that catapulted the Oilers to a 21 point lead. At one point in the half, Findlay hit on 10 of 11 treys.

Findlay put together another 12-4 run to close out the first half and take a massive 61-32 lead into the halftime break. The Dragons outscored Findlay by 11 in the second half but could get no closer than 16 points by late in the game.

TU shot a respectable 47 percent in the game but could not keep up with Findlay's 63 percent field goal shooting, including a 19 of 32 performance from beyond the arc (59 percent). Findlay also held a 33-28 rebounding edge.

Juwan Johnson and Khaleal McCormick led TU with 20 points apiece, while Brandon Wilkins had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Tony Kynard added 15 points off the bench, while Alex Brown also had 8 points. Austin Adams finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds.
