Brian Dougherty

Brian Dougherty is entering his first season with the Dragons Football Program.  He will serve as the Defensive Backs Coach. 

Dougherty comes to Tiffin after spending 2016 and 2017 at the University of Dayton, as the Corners Coach.  While at Dayton, Dougherty was a part of defensive units that gave up an average of 19.7 pts per game in two seasons, while leading the PFL in interceptions in 2016, and finishing second in 2017. 

Before coming to Dayton, Dougherty spent two years at Ball State University as a Graduate Assistant working with the Wide Receivers in 2015 and Defensive Backs in 2014.  Prior to Ball State he served as the Corners Coach at Millikin University in 2013. 
 
During his undergrad, Dougherty was a student assistant/manager with the Miami University (OH) Football Program from 2010-12, working with Quarterbacks, Linebackers, and Defensive Line.  He was a part of the 2010 team that won a MAC Championship, and the GoDaddy.com bowl. 

Dougherty received his Bachelor degree in Physical Education from Miami University (OH) in 2012 and then received his Master’s in Athletic Coaching Education from Ball State in 2016.
