Michael Kidd

Dr. Michael Kidd received his doctorate in philosophy from Capella University in the area of information technology security and assurance. During his time at Tiffin University, Dr. Kidd has worked in the school of Graduate and Distance Education to develop new degree offerings in the field of Technology. Prior to coming to Tiffin University, Dr. Kidd spent 15 years building a career in Network Administration and Cyber Security where he focused on enterprise intrusion defense and counter hacking. Dr. Kidd started his career in the U.S. Army as a Network Support Specialist for the U.S. Pacific Command under Admiral Blair from 1999-2002.
 
In the gaming world, Dr. Kidd was a founding member of the largest and most active City of Heroes Guild until the games were shut down in 2012. Dr. Kidd has been an active member in the eSports sector since the late 1990’s when he actively participated in StarCraft tournaments. Dr. Kidd’s passion and enthusiasm for eSports is one of the driving points of the eSports athletic program and arena at Tiffin University.
