Hunt team takes fifth on second day at Ohio University

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team had their second day of showing at the Ohio University facility, Stone Gate.

In the Intermediate Jumping, both Carrie McCurrach and Rebecca McCrea had a beautiful course and a competitive class. Melissa Macechko received 5th while Paige McCaslin came in 4th place. In the Novice Jumping, Lindsay Weiser rode hard in her big class while Devyn Hennessy received 3rd place.

In the Open Flat division Carrie McCurrach received a 6th place while Rebecca McCrea earned a 5th place. In the Intermediate Flat, Melissa Macechko and Paige McCaslin both scored 5th places. In the Novice Flat, Lindsay Weiser received a well deserved 2nd place which qualifies her for regional finals. Devyn Hennessey placed 4th as well. In the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter, Kaitlyn Borer received 4th place, Emily Boerson came in 6th, Calysta Herniter 3rd place, Melody Lozano 2nd and Katie Vogel rode tough to a 1st place ribbon. In Begining Walk/Trot/Canter, Bridget Webber came in 6th place and Morgan Hixenbaugh received a well deserved 1st place. For the Begining Walk/Trot division, Arissa Hendershot received 3rd place.

TUEQ came 5th overall at the Ohio University Hunt Show. The Ohio State University hunt team were champions with 40 points, Ohio University reserve with 35, Otterbein third with 33, University of Dayton fourth with  21, Tiffin fifth with 13, Kenyon sixth with 11, and Wilmington seventh with 10 points.
