Dragons compete at Lake Erie Hunt Show

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team traveled to Lake Erie College for their last hunt show of the season. The Dragons had the opportunity to recognize seniors Taylor Clawson (SAAC Representative) and Kier Scott (pictured below L to R: Head Coach Julie Vogel, Taylor Clawson, Kier Scott, and Assistant Coach Jenny Steinmetz). 

Starting off the show was the jumping. Carolyn McCurrach showed in the Intermediate Division. She received 5th place. Rebecca McCrea had a solid ride in the Intermediate and left with 6th place. Melissa Macechko rode in the Novice and had a wonderful ride, leaving with a 2nd place. Lindsay Weiser also had a great ride in the Novice and she placed 4th.

Flat was the second half of the day. Rebecca McCrea placed 3rd while riding in the Intermediate class. Melissa Macechko left the Novice class with 6th place as she rode in a tough class. Paige McCaslin left with 4th place in the Novice, qualifying her for the year end regional competition which is to be held in Columbus on March 4th. Calysta Herniter rode a good ride in the beginner Walk Trot Canter and placed 5th. Alexis Williams rode in the Walk Trot very well and received 6th place.

Tiffin University came in 7th out of 13 teams.
