The Tiffin Equestrian team after their weekend in Findlay

Starting the horse show was our jumping. Rebecca McCrea left her class with a 6th place. Sydney Cox ended up falling on on her first IHSA show in the jumping on Saturday. On Sunday, she went into her class and redeemed herself with a beautiful course. Sydney Cox shared her thoughts between the two days. "I am glad the day is done and I made it through. Everyday is a new one." Melissa Macechko received a 6th place in the Novice Fences. Lindsay Weiser left her class with a 5th place.

Our sport is not always the easiest sport. Remember, in IHSA, our riders draw a horse's name and that is who they are going to ride. There are no practice rides or practice jumps. Going into the flat, Rachael Dowczek also ended up falling off on Sunday. She got back up, dusted off the dirt and had a re-ride on one of the back up horses for the class. Carolyn McCurrach got a 4th place in her open class, gaining the team three points. Melissa Macechko received a 4th on the flat in Nocive while Devyn Hennessey also got a 4th.  Sydney Cox left her class with a 5th place. In the Beginning Walk/Trot/Canter, Maddie Powers left her class with a 4th place while Emily Borsen received a 3rd place. For the walk/trot, Jordan left her class with a 6th place.

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team came 5th out of eleven teams.
