Brandon Cantrill enters his fourth season as an assistant coach at Tiffin, and serves as the program's recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, and infield coach.

During his stint at Marietta, a Division III member of the Ohio Athletic Conference, Brandon worked with the Pioneer catchers and hitters, while serving as the Don Schaly Stadium Supervisor.  He helped mentor Senior catch Eric White to a 1st Team All-OAC selection during his single season at Marietta.

Prior to Marietta, Cantrill spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at Tiffin University. He worked with the Dragon infielders and hitters, while also serving as the first base coach and camp coordinator.

Prior to Tiffin, Cantrill spent two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater Oberlin College, an NCAA Division III member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. A standout catcher for the Yeomen in his playing day, Cantrill worked with Oberlin’s catchers, infielders and hitters, as well as coaching first base.

In addition to his on-field duties, Cantrill created the off-season strength and conditioning program for the Yeomen. He also assisted in recruiting and fundraising, helping Oberlin raise nearly $500,000 for facility improvements.

During the summer of 2016, Cantrill served as an assistant coach and hitting instructor for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the Prospect League. In previous summers, he was the head coach of the Lake Erie Warhawks 18U and 16U teams. Cantrill has worked as a summer baseball camp instructor at Mississippi State University, Florida State University, Duke University, and the University of Mississippi.

Cantrill was a four-year starter for the Yeomen primarily as a catcher. He also saw time on the mound at Oberlin. Currently, Cantrill is tenth on Oberlin’s all-time list with 129 career base hits.

Cantrill graduated from Oberlin College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He completed a Master of Business Administration degree at Tiffin University in 2016.
