The Tiffin University baseball team split the doubleheader with Shepherd, shutting them out 3-0 in game one and losing game two 1-0.

The Dragons improve to 26-17 overall, while the Rams improve to 16-19-1 overall.

Game One:
In game one, both teams were deadlocked until the top of the fourth when Tiffin scored. Starting with singles from Jake Shier and Cal BrazierNich Green walked to load the bases. Tommy Thamann hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Shier.

The Dragons doubled their advantage in the fifth as Griffin Stevens started the rally with a single, then Tim Orr singled to put runners on first and third for Jake Shier who singled down the left-field line to score Stevens, giving Tiffin a 2-0 lead.

Tiffin sealed the win in the top of the seventh. The first two batters were walked and Tim Orr singled to left field, scoring Marino Pugnetti. The Dragons went on to win 3-0.

Jake Shier led the offense, going 2-for-4, scoring one run, and driving in one RBI. Tim Orr batted 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Evan Engle went 2-for-3.

Michael Boswell recorded his eighth win of the season. He pitched 7.0 innings, allowed two hits, and recorded seven strikeouts in the shutout win over Shepherd.

Game Two:
A close contest for game two as Shepherd scored a run in the bottom of the third.

Tyler Wehrle took the loss as he pitched 6.0 innings and allowed six hits and one earned run. He also tallied a season-high 14 strikeouts.
