The Tiffin University baseball team took 2 of 3 games from the University of Findlay Oilers over the weekend.

The Dragons had business from Friday to tend to before beginning play on the third and fourth games of the series against the Findaly Oilers. Tiffin and Findlay picked up in the 7th inning of game two, which was called due to rain on Friday with Tiffin leading 8-6.

The score didn't change, as Tiffin shutdown the Oilers in their final three at bats, including stranding the tying runs in scoring position to seal an 8-6 win.

The Dragons and Oilers were then able to move on to the games slated for Sunday. Findlay scored first, using a pair of runs to plate a single run. The game remained at 1-0 until the 4th inning, when the Oilers added on. Findlay plated five runs on five hits and an error to lead 6-0.

Kyle Lento got the Dragons on the board with a run scoring single through the left side of the infield scoring Brayden Callihan to make it 6-1. The Oilers final run came in the bottom half of the 5th, to put the Tiffin deficit at 7-1.

The Dragons made it 7-2 with a solo home run from Alec McCurry in the 6th, and added another run in the 7th with a Lento sacrifice fly to fall 7-3.

On the mound, Michael Boswell took the loss, allowing three earned runs in 3 2/3 innings pitched. At the plate, McCurry logged a 2 for 4 day with a solo home run. Isaac Perry and Brayden Callihan both finished with two hits, and Kyle Lento finished with two runs batted in.

The Dragons now sit 25-19 overall and 17-10 in GLIAC play.
