The Tiffin University baseball team moved to 24-18 overall and 16-9 in GLIAC play with an 8-3 victory over the University of Findlay on Friday afternoon. The second game of the twin bill was called due to rain with Tiffin leading 8-6.

A sacrifice fly by the Oilers in the bottom of the 1st put Findlay ahead 1-0. A run scoring ground out in the bottom of the 2nd put the Dragons and starter Ricky Krieger behind 2-0. Devon Fisk changed that story in the 3rd, launching a three run blast to right center field and giving the Dragons a 3-2 lead.

In the 6th inning, Tiffin put the game out of reach. With the bases loaded, Kurt Barbeau lined a double down the right field line to clear the bases and give the Dragons a 6-2 advantage. Two batters later, with the bases loaded, Alec McCurry singled up the middle to score a pair and give Tiffin an 8-2 lead.

A run scoring single plated the final Findlay run in the bottom of the 7th, giving Tiffin an 8-3 victory.

On the mound, Ricky Krieger earned the win with 6 2/3 innings of work to move to 4-2 on the year. Offensively, Kurt Barbeau and Devon Fisk each finished with a hit and three runs batted in. Alec McCurry finished 2 for 4 with a run scored and two runs batted in.

The Dragons still sit 4th in the GLIAC, one game behind Walsh for 3rd place.
