Rob Ledwedge

Rob Ledwedge, a Tiffin resident, has played and promoted disc golf for 15 years in NW and Mid-Ohio. Currently, Rob is the primary force behind Tiffin Disc Golf with scheduling events, home course improvements and maintenance. Rob and the Tiffin group are in the process of building another course in Tiffin, built primarily for the beginner in mind. He is organizer of the TNT summer league, which takes place at Hedges Boyer Park on Thursday nights during the summer. He has been a PDGA Tournament Director for years and holds and assists tournaments and events all year long.

He was one of the organizers and assistant TD of the 2010 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships played at six Mid Ohio area courses, including Tiffin.

A proud and active member of Mid-Ohio Organized Disc Golf, (MOOD Golf), this group is a collection of disc golfers in a large geographic region centered on a common goal. Among its goals are increased education of the sport, greater community interaction and involvement, improved communication, open-mindedness and quality courses. With MOOD Golf, Rob has always been interested in helping the novice disc golfer. “I love to see the improvement over a summer or after a couple of seasons,” Rob remarks.

When Rob started playing Disc golf in Ohio, there were around 100 courses. Luckily, Ohio now has 266 courses with 7 courses within a 30 minute drive and another 20 within an hour. This gives disc golfers a wide variety of courses to fine tune the techniques needed to become well-rounded competitors. “I get so much gratification helping someone to learn a sport they can play for the rest of their life.”
