Tiffin University is ranked 15th in the latest Learfield IMG College Director's Cup standings.

The March 14 release reflects Tiffin's strong showing through the winter sports season, specifically indoor track and field and wrestling. The Dragons were 15th with 248.50 points and were the highest ranked G-MAC school. Walsh was next in 21st with 219 points, while Hillsdale also cracked the Top 50 in 46th place with 153 points.

Grand Valley State led the nation with 485 points followed by Colorado School of Mines with 466.50.

The Dragons got 85 of their points from men's track team, which finished 3rd at the national championships. Wrestling, which finished 8th in the nation, accounted for 70.5 points, while women's track got 43 points for its 31st place finish.

"This is truly a team effort. Everybody from athletic department staff, administration, campus staff, faculty, and especially the coaches and student athletes have a part in this. We push each other for greatness on a daily basis and this is a reflection of that," said Athletic Director Lonny Allen.

The Director's Cup is a program that honors institutions maintaining a broad-based program, achieving success in many sports, both men's and women's. Began in 1993-94 for Division I by NACDA and USA Today, it was expanded in 1995-96 to include Division II, III and the NAIA and, in 2011-12, expanded to the Junior/Community Colleges.
