Jabari Bennett highlighted Tiffin track & field's outstanding effort at the Oiler Open on Saturday in Findlay, surpassing an NCAA automatic qualifying mark (18.08m) in the shot put with a throw of 18.28 meters. 

Bennett is the second Dragon thrower to reach an automatic qualifying mark already this winter through three meets, as he bested teammate Nikolas Curtiss' mark from the Alumni Open by just .02 of a meter.

Along with those two AQs, the men's track & field squad has also hit 17 provisional marks thus far.
